FujiyaAVIC Headphone Festival Fall 2011

Headphone Otaku
While at the recent CanJam at RMAF, I heard Jude and a few of the vendors talking about the upcoming FujiyaAVIC headphone festival. It perked my ears because I know how amazingly fanatical the Japanese headphone enthusiasts are, and if anybody can give us a glimpse of what the future of the hobby holds it's the headphone otaku.
Otaku is a Japanese word for folks who have obsessive interests in things like anime, video games, and the like. With so many people living so close together in the crowded streets and small apartments of metropolitan Japan, headphone otaku has fertile growing conditions.
I didn't attend this festival, but fortunately for us Head-Fi member Mkubota1 did, and he has posted a really excellent pictorial that captures the flavor of the event marvelously. If you're interested in a bunch of great pictures and a peak at headphone otaku in Japan, visit Mkubota1's thread here. Note that his post also has links to a number of other threads about the event.
My understanding is that the next FujiyaAVIC headphone festival will be in mid-May 2012. More information can be found at the FujiyaAVIC website. Their page about the event is here.
Thanks Mike! Great Job!
