Slowly they turn...step by step...inch by inch...Beyerdynamic keeps moving along and improving their products. Heck, they even partnered up with another firm to sweeten their line-up!

Ran into this at last year's CES but didn't report on it. That decision haunted me...I just kept thinking how some folks would find it very handy.

Headphone enthusiasts are well aware and enjoy the benefits of Comply after-market ear tips for their in-ear monitors, and many manufacturers now include Comply products in the standard tips selection that come with their products.

Now Comply is getting into the business of making around-ear and on-ear pads for full size headphones.

Looks like Polk remains committed to offering a range of headphones. Their second wave of product certainly seem a little more in line with their corporate brand.

It's that time of year again: a raft of new products introduced at CES. But I wanted a little more out of this year's show. So I started asking a bunch of questions to glean a clearer view of the headphone market.

It's awful nice weather on the Slabs this time of year. Seventy five during the day, a nice chill 40 at night when the guitars come out to play at a campfire near you.

Paul (my riding buddy) calls it the "Rice Cooker", all I can tell you is that it's Thursday and we've been playing tunes on the Soundcast Melody boombox around the campfire for a week now, and it's still playing on its first charge.

Step inside for some cool pictures of Slab City along with the tunes.

I provide measurements because I think they have something important to add to people's experience with and understanding of headphones. "What," you say, "might that look like?"

Good question. Here's one answer.

Accidentally Extraordinary, huh? That's a pretty tricky business plan. Not quite sure how you pull that off. I reckon "jumping into a new market, giving it all you've got, and doing a pretty good job of making a good looking and good sounding headphone" a more achievable goal.

Be hard to fit that on your business card, though.

Of course they're gorgeous looking, B&W just doesn't make stuff that's not drop-dead sexy. The big surprise here is how good they sound...how damned good they sound in some ways!
