T.H.E. Show Newport 2014: Alpha Design Labs Upcoming Products

Alpha Design Labs first headphone offering, the ADL H118, has been out for a little over a year now. I've heard it at shows a number of times and thought it was fairly good, though not quite good enough to consider for review given the enormous competition in the category. Well, that might be changing. Ray Lee of ADL was showing a pre-production sample of their upcoming ADL H128 full-size, sealed headphone expected to come to market later this year at just above the $400 mark. A fairly expensive slot, but it did sound to me like this headphone might perform at that level. It certainly caught my ear.

Also in the new line-up will be the A1, a portable headphone amp for Android users capable of high-rez to DSD, and a new top-of-the-line headphone amp/DAC called the Stratos also capable of hi-rez to 192kHz and DSD.

Just want to point out that ADL is a sub-brand of Furutech who makes some very nice connectors for headphone DIYers that can be found here. For more on ADL check out their website here.
