I've never heard a Bluetooth, noise canceling, headphone/headset that sounds good---or even the same---in all modes...until now. This is a really cool, jack-of-all-trades, general purpose headphone/headset!

I remember back in 2011 when I first saw Danish company AIAIAI’s TMA-1 headphones in the window of the only high-end headphone shop I’d ever seen at the time – Headphone Bar in Vancouver – and thought to myself, “Those are very cool.”

Having not too long ago reviewed the $1499 AKG N90Q and finding it an astonishingly cool and effective noise canceler, I thought it would be interesting to look at what AKG was doing way down the food chain at a more affordable price. Thing is $300 is still $300, and in my book a pretty serious purchase. A $300 headphone needs to be good and competitive. Let's see if AKG managed to pull it off.

At the moment, the Cowin E7 is Amazon's top selling wireless, noise canceling headphone and has a four star rating with 3,800+ reviews. We headphone geeks might recognize the brand, but I very much doubt if the average person has ever heard of Cowin. I thought maybe it's just the cheapest Bluetooth, noise canceler on Amazon. Not even close; this one is $13.21! (How in the world do you even deliver the box for that price?) I tried to find a PR contact for Cowin for review samples to no avail. Oh well, it's cheap enough...I just bought a pair.

I’ve given up the ghost a bit by naming this InnerFidelity’s Product of the Year already, so it might be helpful to think of this review in the context of ancient Greek theatre, where the audience already knows how the story will end, but comes to appreciate the details of the journey.

This review has been a pretty long time in the making, I’ve actually owned the Audeze Mobius since the beginning; I’ll freely admit that I was one of the first kickstarter backers for it. I don’t recall if there is a headphone that has excited me quite as much in the last few years as the Mobius has, other than maybe the Ether 2.

Please don't consider this a comprehensive overview of the best wireless Bluetooth headphones out there...it isn't. Manufacturers and PR people keep offering to send BT headphones to me, I keep being interested in the category, but it wasn't until a had some significant experience with BT headphones that I began to feel like I could comment on the relative performance of BT headphones I had heard. Well, with a dozen or so on hand and mounting experience, and the shopping season upon us, I figured it was time to do something.

To say I looked at the Bose SoundWear Companion Speaker with a great deal of skepticism when I first saw one in the Bose kiosk at Denver International Airpot after RMAF is a serious understatement. Boy was I in for a surprise!

Oh boy, I love it when a headphone ticks all the boxes and doesn't have a fatal flaw shiv strapped to its ankle ready to strike at an inopportune moment. Yep, the Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless is a dandy daily driver for all your mobile headphone needs.

I’ve been following the folks at Cleer Audio for a couple years now, starting back when they were just showing prototypes of their NEXT headphone.

The Solo3 is the first headphones to have the Apple W1 wireless chip. (Followed shortly thereafter by the Beats Powerbeats3 and the soon to come BeatsX and Apple AirPods.) In this review I'll take a close look at the features and functions of this W1 based wireless headphone, and how it differs from typical contemporary Bluetooth headphones.

One thing the Bluetooth and wireless headphone market nowadays isn’t lacking is choice. When I was sent a pair of Focal Stellia’s, my contacts at Focal also offered a pair of the Focal Sphear Wireless for review, and I figured this was a perfect opportunity to see what Focal has done with their more mainstream offerings in recent years.

Over time Jabra has moved from little Bluetooth dongles that dangle from one ear to sports headsets and is now entering the wider headphone world with straight-up headphone headsets. Or is it that the headphone world is moving towards phone headsets? It's hard to tell...welcome to convergence.

Sean Olive and his crew of researchers have been at it for a while now, and I reckon some their work should have trickled down into JBL products by now. One likely candidate is their recently released JBL Everest Elite 700, a wireless, noise canceling, over-ear headphone, which contain Harman's whiz-bang TruNote technology that is claimed to calibrate the headphone to the wearers ears. Let's check it out.

My first impression of the MOZero was a casual run-in at a local audio store. Nothing struck as particularly extraordinary at first, $150 USD wireless Bluetooth headphones with some active noise-cancelling capabilities. Then I listened to them.
