I've often noticed some significant phase artifacts in multi-driver balanced armature IEMs, and wondered "What's up with that?" Evidently, Jerry Harvey's been thinking a lot about it too.

As Dinny mentioned in his think piece the headphone market is rapidly finding its way toward maturity. A sure sign of this is when small companies start to have a more sophisticated sensibility in their product development efforts.

Dinny FitzPatrick is a long time headphone enthusiast and has seen this hobby grow from its very first large meet. I thought it would be fun to have his personal overview of this show. Quite thought provoking.

Yet another case of a headphone DIY enthusiast turned pro, Alex Cavalli first produced a number of DIY projects and then turned his attention to manufacturing. His initial two offerings (Liquide Fire and Liquid Lightning) were well received by the headphone community. His new amp is a tube-roller's delight.

While it's fairly easy to find iPhone/iPod docking stations that allow you to get at the digital signal and bypass the internal DAC, I know of only one portable solution. And that one just got quite a bit better!
