CanJam at RMAF2017: People I Love - Warren P. Chi

Warren P. Chi - Man of many hats at Head-Fi.org
Back in the days when I was meeting Warren in person for the first few times at shows, I'd often say something like, "Hey, do you remember when so-and-so did such-and-such that one time...hysterical!"

He'd answer, "You gotta remember, Tyll, I've only been around for year and a half."

Warren just felt like part of the family right off the bat.

The guy is whip-crackin' smart and knows gadgets and markets. I've spent a good few hours talking with Warren about all sorts of stuff while at shows; if I'm worrying through some topic in my head about some aspect of how products may change the world of headphones, I make a point of having a chat with Warren. There's no wonder why Alex Cavalli hired him to be CEO, and I'm stoked he's now on the Head-Fi team.

Meet Warren Peachy (which is what my head said every time I read his name on posts)

Warren is a truly great guy. I spent a lot of time interacting with him in the TMAC thread on Head-Fi years ago, and even though I was a relative newcomer to that epic thread in its first few months, Warren (along with the others) made me feel right at home. Despite my CT on Head-Fi, when I'm not taking too many words to get my point across about a headphone, I'm actually a pretty shy and awkward person when it comes to straight up conversation. Warren helped me come out of my shell and interact with a lot of other members of the community, both in the TMAC thread and elsewhere. And he's so funny! Fellow TMAC'er TwinQY put together some loving retrospectives of the best times in the thread, and the number of stealthy one-liners Warren came up with was amazing. You didn't really notice until you put them all together in a row like that, but I know every time I read one of his posts it made me smile.

I hope Warren is doing well with whatever he's getting up to these days, and if he reads this, I just want him to know that knowing him via Head-Fi made my time there much more enjoyable.

Warren is wonderful, great guy, honest, knows his stuff and loves music (but probably sick of Henley/Hornsby ;-)). So nice to see him be successful at doing what he loves.
